Minor Flood Warning For The Darling River

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT BOURKE FROM LATE NEXT WEEK
The main peak along the Barwon River has now passed Brewarrina and is approaching Bourke. Flooding is no longer expected at Brewarrina, where river levels are expected to remain below the minor flood level during Friday.
Along the Darling River at Bourke, minor flooding is possible from late next week as this peak continues to move downstream.
Peak predictions will be refined as upstream peaks are observed.

Barwon River downstream of Walgett to Brewarrina:
Flooding is no longer expected along the Barwon River at Brewarrina.
The Barwon River at Brewarrina is currently at 4.74 metres and falling, below the minor flood level (6.40 metres).
The Barwon River at Brewarrina is expected to remain below the minor flood level (6.40 m).

Barwon and Darling Rivers downstream of Brewarrina to Bourke:
Minor flooding may occur along the Darling River at Bourke.
The Darling River at Bourke is currently at 7.66 metres and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Darling River at Bourke may reach the minor flood level (9.50 m) late next week.

Minor Flood Warning For The Paroo River (Nsw)

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT WILLARA CROSSING.
MINOR FLOODING RISING TO A PEAK AT WANAARING OVER FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY
Floodwaters arriving from Queensland are causing minor flooding along the Paroo River. River levels have peaked and are falling at Willara Crossing. Downstream, minor flooding is occurring at Wanaaring, with a peak forecast to arrive over Friday into Saturday. The river is expected to remain above the minor flood level through the weekend.
A minor flood warning is current for the Paroo River in Queensland.

Paroo River (NSW):
Minor flooding is occurring along the Paroo River (NSW) at Willara Crossing and Wanaaring.

The Paroo River at Willara Crossing peaked at 1.70 metres around 09:30 am Monday 16 December and is currently at 1.34 metres and falling, above the minor flood level (0.70 metres)
The Paroo River at Willara Crossing is expected to remain above the minor flood level (0.70 m) for the next few days.

The Paroo River at Wanaaring was observed at 2.48 metres and rising on Tuesday evening, above the minor flood level (2.40 metres).
The Paroo River at Wanaaring is likely to peak near 2.60 metres overnight Friday into Saturday. High river levels expected to continue into the early next week.

Minor To Moderate Flood Warning For The Warrego River (Nsw)

MODERATE FLOODING LIKELY AT FORDS BRIDGE FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY
MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING IN BARRINGUN, ENNGONIA AND FORDS BRIDGE
Floodwaters from the Warrego River in Queensland continues to move into NSW. The first peak is at Fords Bridge Bywash, with moderate flooding is likely over Friday into Saturday.
The second peak has passed Barringun, where minor flooding is easing. This peak is expected to move downstream to Fords Bridge Bywash over the coming weeks.
A minor flood warning is current for the Warrego River in Queensland.

Warrego River (NSW):
Minor flooding is occurring along the Warrego River (NSW) at Barringun, Enngonia and Fords Bridge. Moderate flooding is likely at Fords Bridge.

The Warrego River at Barringun No. 2 peaked at 3.43 metres around 05:15 am Wednesday 18 December and is currently at 3.25 metres and falling, with minor flooding.
The Warrego River at Barringun No. 2 may fall below the minor flood level (2.80 m) Friday afternoon.Renewed river level rises possible late next week.

No river level data is available along the Warrego River at Enngonia. The river level is expected to be around 2.00 metres and rising, with minor flooding.
The Warrego River at Enngonia is likely to remain above the minor flood level (2.00 metres) for the next few days.

The Warrego River at Fords Bridge Bywash is currently at 2.27 metres and rising near a peak, above the minor flood level (1.70 m).
A moderate peak may occur in the Warrego River at Fords Bridge Bywash overnight Friday into Saturday. River levels are expected to remain elevated for the next few days. Renewed river level rises are expected late December as a second flood peak arrives.
