Flood Warning Number: 11
FLOOD LEVELS HIGHER THAN THE 1990 AND 2010 FLOODS LIKELY AT WILLARA CROSSING FROM SUNDAY AND AT WANAARING FROM MID NEXT WEEK
Significant and widespread rainfall was observed across the Paroo River catchment last week, which has caused widespread and dangerous major flooding along the Paroo River in Queensland. A major flood peak passed though Eulo on Monday, Caiwarro on Wednesday, and is approaching Hungerford with levels already above the 1990 flood level.
As these floodwaters arrive from the Paroo River in Queensland, significant flooding higher than the 1990 and 2010 floods is likely at Willara Crossing from Sunday, where minor flooding is currently occurring. River levels are rising at Wanaaring where major flooding is likely from early next week, with further rises likely higher than the 1990 and 2010 flood levels, from mid next week.
A major flood warning is current for the Paroo River (QLD).

Major flooding may occur along the Paroo River (NSW) at Wanaaring. Minor flooding is occurring at Willara Crossing and Wanaaring.
The Paroo River at Willara Crossing is currently at 3.28 metres and rising, above the minor flood level (0.70 m).
The Paroo River at Willara Crossing is likely to reach around 4.50 metres from Sunday, with minor flooding. Further rises are possible. Peak predictions will be provided once upstream peaks have been observed.
The Paroo River at Wanaaring is currently at 2.40 metres and rising, with minor flooding.
The Paroo River at Wanaaring is expected to exceed the moderate flood level (3.30 m) during Saturday. The river level is expected to exceed the major flood level (4.00 m) from early next week and may reach around 5.10 metres from mid next week, with major flooding. Further rises are possible. Peak predictions will be provided once upstream peaks have been observed.

Minor Flood Warning For The Bokhara River
Issued at 01:56 PM EST on Wednesday 02 April 2025
Flood Warning Number: 7
RENEWED MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT HEBEL OVER THE COMING DAYS
Heavy to locally intense rainfall in the past week, particularly around the NSW-QLD border, has resulted in river level rises across the Lower Balonne and Bokhara Rivers, where multiple flood peaks are moving through the catchment. An initial minor flood peak was observed at Hebel overnight Sunday, while further upstream another flood peak is approaching Whyenbah. The flood peak at Whyenbah may cause renewed river level rises along the Bokhara River at Hebel in the coming days.
Showers and the chance of thunderstorms remain possible for the remainder of Wednesday, before conditions clear into the weekend. Additional locally heavy rainfall during the remainder of Wednesday may cause further river level rises.
Lower Balonne and Bokhara Rivers, Balonne River Minor:
Renewed minor flooding is possible along the Bokhara River.
The Bokhara River at Hebel is currently at 0.94 metres and steady, below the minor flood level (1.00 m).
Renewed rises to the minor flood level (1.00 m) are possible along the Bokhara River at Hebel over the next few days, with forecast rainfall and as upstream flood peaks arrive.
