MAJOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT JUNDAH, RETREAT AND WINDORAH
MAJOR FLOODING LIKELY AT LONGREACH FROM LATE TUESDAY MORNING AND POSSIBLE AT STONEHENGE FROM WEDNESDAY EVENING
MAJOR FLOODING POSSIBLE FROM TUESDAY MORNING AT ISISFORD
MODERATE FLOODING OCCURRING AT CAMOOLA PARK AND STONEHENGE
Heavy to intense rainfall during the last week caused rapid rises and significant major flooding across the Thomson, Barcoo and Cooper Creek catchments. Major flooding is occurring at Jundah, Retreat, and Windorah.
At Jundah, the river level peaked above both the 1974 and 1955 flood levels. At Retreat, the river level is estimated to have peaked overnight Friday with major flooding, higher than the April 1990 flood level. As these floodwaters combine along the Cooper Creek, it is estimated that a major flood peak near the January 1974 flood level may have occurred at Windorah Saturday afternoon.
Major flooding easing slowly at Jundah, Retreat and Windorah. Moderate flooding is occurring at Camoola Park and at Stonehenge. Minor flooding is occurring at the Thomson River at Longreach, and expected to reach the moderate flood level early Monday evening. Further river level rises to major is likely from late Tuesday morning.
Moderate flooding is likely at the Barcoo River at Isisford from early Monday evening, and further river level rises to major is possible from Tuesday morning.
Further rainfall is forecast across the catchment during the middle of the week which may result in small renewed river and creek level rises and prolong the current flooding.
The situation is being closely monitored, and this warning will be updated as required.
Peak forecasts will be refined as upstream peaks are observed.

Thomson River:
Minor to major flooding is occurring along the Thomson River.
The Thomson River at Camoola Park was at 5.10 metres as of 06:00 am Monday and rising with moderate flooding.
The Thomson River at Camoola Park is expected to remain above the moderate flood level (4.00 m) overnight Monday into Tuesday. Further river level rises are possible as upstream floodwaters arrive.

The Thomson River at Longreach is currently at 3.72 metres and rising, above the minor flood level (3.30 m).
The Thomson River at Longreach is expected to reach the moderate flood level (4.30 m) early Monday evening. The river level is likely to reach the major flood level (5.30 m) late Tuesday morning. Further river level rises are possible as upstream floodwaters arrive.

The Thomson River at Stonehenge is currently at 4.90 metres and falling with moderate flooding.
The Thomson River at Stonehenge is likely to remain above the moderate flood level (3.00 m) overnight Monday into Tuesday. The river level may reach the major flood level (5.00 m) Wednesday evening with forecast rainfall. Further river level rises are possible as upstream floodwaters arrive.

The Thomson River at Jundah is currently at 7.35 metres and falling with major flooding.
The Thomson River at Jundah is expected to remain above the major flood level (5.00 m) overnight Monday into Tuesday. Renewed river level rises are possible with forecast rainfall from Wednesday morning.

Barcoo River to Isisford:
Major flooding may occur along the Barcoo River to Isisford.
No recent observations are available along the Jordan River at Jericho, but it is estimated to be below the minor flood level (2.00 m) and falling.
Renewed rises and minor flooding possible along the Jordan River at Jericho from Wednesday morning with forecast rainfall.

No recent observations are available along the Alice River at Barcaldine, but it is estimated to be around minor flood level and falling slowly.
The Alice River at Barcaldine may fall below the minor flood level (3.00 m) overnight Monday into Tuesday. Renewed rises and minor flooding possible along the Alice River at Barcaldine from Wednesday morning with forecast rainfall.

No recent observations are available for Blackall. Based on the nearby automatic gauge, the river is estimated to be below the minor flood level (2.00 m) and falling.
The Barcoo River at Blackall may reach the minor flood level (2.00 m) Wednesday morning with forecast rainfall.

The Barcoo River at Isisford was at 4.46 metres and rising, above the minor flood level (4.00 m).
The Barcoo River at Isisford is likely to exceed the moderate flood level (5.00 m) early Monday evening. The river level may reach the major flood level (6.00 m) Tuesday morning. Further river level rises are possible with forecast rainfall.

Barcoo River downstream of Isisford:
Major flooding is occurring along the Barcoo River downstream of Isisford at Wahroongha, Glenlock and Retreat.
No recent observations are available along the Barcoo River at Retreat. Based on the upstream automatic gauges, the river level is estimated to be around 10.80 metres and falling slowly with major flooding.
The Barcoo River at Retreat is expected to ease slowly but remain above the major flood level (8.00 m) during Tuesday and into the next few days.

Cooper Creek:
Major flooding is occurring along the Cooper Creek at Windorah.
There are no current observations available for the Cooper Creek at Windorah. The Cooper Creek at Windorah is estimated to have peaked near the January 1974 flood level during Saturday afternoon with major flooding. The creek level is estimated to be well above the major flood level (5.00 m) and falling.
The Cooper Ck at Windorah (Main Channel) TM is likely to remain above the major flood level (5.00 m) during Tuesday and into the next few days.

MAJOR FLOODING ABOVE 1974 FLOOD LEVELS OCCURRING AT THARGOMINDAH WITH RISES CONTINUING
MAJOR FLOODING STEADY AT QUILPIE
Significant flooding is occurring along the Bulloo River due to recent heavy rainfall across the catchment.
River levels are steady above the major flood level at Quilpie. Major flooding is continuing to rise along the Bulloo River downstream of Quilpie, including at Thargomindah where the river level is above the level recorded in 1974.
Rainfall is forecast across parts of western Queensland in the coming days, including the Bulloo River catchment, which may cause renewed rises and further prolong flooding.
The situation is being closely monitored and this warning will be updated as required.

Bulloo River to Quilpie:
Major flooding is occurring along the Bulloo River to Quilpie.
The Bulloo River at Quilpie is currently at 6.15 metres and steady, above the major flood level (5.00 m).
The Bulloo River at Quilpie is likely to remain above the major flood level (5.00 m) for the next few days. Further rises are possible with forecast rainfall.

Bulloo River downstream of Quilpie:
Major flooding is occurring along the Bulloo River downstream of Quilpie, including at Autumnvale.
The Bulloo River at Thargomindah is currently at 6.95 metres and rising, above the major flood level (5.50 m).
The Bulloo River at Thargomindah is currently above the 1974 level of 6.78 metres. The river level at Thargomindah may reach around 7.20 metres overnight Monday into Tuesday. Further rises are possible as floodwaters continue to move downstream.

MAJOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT MARION DOWNS
MAJOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT BEDOURIE LATER IN THE WEEK AS UPSTREAM PEAKS ARRIVE
Moderate to locally heavy rainfall was observed along the Georgina River and Eyre Creek over the past week. This rainfall has resulted in river and creek level rises across the catchment, where major flooding is occurring at Marion Downs and is possible at Bedourie as upstream peaks arrive.
The situation is being closely monitored and this warning will be updated as required.

Georgina River to Marion Downs:
River levels are generally falling across the Georgina River to Marion Downs.
The Georgina River at Marion Downs was at 5.20 metres and falling at 7:15 am Monday, above the major flood level (5.00 m).
The Georgina River at Marion Downs may fall below the major flood level (5.00 m) during Tuesday.

Georgina River downstream of Marion Downs:
Elevated river and creek levels are occurring along the Georgina River downstream of Marion Downs as floodwaters continue to arrive from upstream.
Eyre Creek:
Major flooding may occur along the Eyre Creek.
Eyre Creek at Bedourie was at 4.63 metres and rising at 9:00 am Monday, above the moderate flood level (4.00 m) and above the bridge level (4.40 m).
The Eyre Creek at Bedourie is expected to remain above the moderate flood level (4.00 m) for the next few days. Further rises to near the major flood level (5.00 m) are possible later in the week.

Eyre Creek at Glengyle was steady around 2.60 metres at 9:00 am Sunday, above the minor flood level (2.00 m).
The Eyre Creek at Glengyle is expected to remain above the minor flood level for the next few days. Further rises to near the moderate flood level (3.00 m) are possible later in the week.

MODERATE FLOODING LIKELY OCCURRING ALONG THE WESTERN RIVER AT WINTON
MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE LATER THIS WEEK AT BIRDSVILLE
Moderate to heavy rainfall during last week has caused significant river level rises across the Diamantina River catchment. Moderate flooding is likely occurring at Winton, and major flooding is occurring along the Diamantina River.
As the floodwaters continue to move downstream over the coming weeks, forecasts will be refined for Birdsville.
The situation is being closely monitored and this warning will be updated as required.

Diamantina River to Diamantina Lakes:
Major flooding is occurring along the Diamantina River at Diamantina Lakes. The river level is currently at 6.45 metres and steady, which is 4.35 metres above the level of the causeway on the Springvale Diamantina Lakes Road (2.10 m). Minor flooding is easing at Elderslie.
Western River:
Moderate flooding is likely occurring along the Western River at Winton.
There are no recent observations for the Western River at Winton, however, it is likely the river level is above the moderate flood (2.00 m) level and easing.
The Western River at Winton may fall below the moderate flood level (2.00 m) Monday afternoon.

Diamantina River downstream of Diamantina Lakes:
Flooding is occurring along the Diamantina River downstream of Diamantina Lakes, including major flooding at Monkira.
The Diamantina River at Birdsville was at 1.80 metres and steady around 9:00 am Sunday, below the minor flood level (4.00 m).
The Diamantina River at Birdsville may reach the minor flood level (4.00 m) later this week. Further updates will be provided as peaks are recorded upstream.

EULO APPROACHING A MAJOR FLOOD PEAK ON MONDAY ABOVE THE 2010 FLOOD LEVEL
MAJOR FLOODING EXPECTED AT HUNGERFORD FROM TUESDAY, LIKELY TO REACH AROUND THE 2010 FLOOD LEVEL FROM FRIDAY
Significant and widespread rainfall was observed across the Paroo River catchment last week. This rainfall has resulted in dangerous and rapid river level rises across the catchment.
Further rainfall is forecast from the middle of the week which is likely to prolong the flooding currently moving through the Paroo River system.
Forecasts for Hungerford will be refined as upstream peaks are observed.
The situation is being closely monitored and this warning will be updated as required.

Paroo River to Eulo:
Major flooding is occurring along the Paroo River at Eulo and Humeburn.
The Paroo River at Eulo is currently at 6.51 metres and approaching a major flood peak, above the 2010 flood level of 6.27 metres.
Further small rises are likely, with a peak near 6.60 metres likely during Monday.

Paroo River downstream of Eulo:
Major flooding will occur along the Paroo River at Hungerford. Major flooding is continuing to rise at Caiwarro.
The Paroo River at Hungerford is currently at 1.55 metres and steady, above the moderate flood level (1.50 m).
The river level is expected to begin rising again during Monday and exceed the major flood level (2.00 m) from Tuesday, with rises expected through to the weekend as floodwater continues to arrive. The river level is likely to reach around 2.90 metres from Friday, very similar to the 2010 flood level (2.87 m). Higher levels are possible.
