Warning to Sheep Graziers for the following areas:
Northern Tablelands forecast district
Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, showers and easterly winds are expected during Wednesday. Areas likely to be affected include parts of the Northern Tablelands forecast district. There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE IN PARTS OF THE NORTHERN RIVERS, MID NORTH COAST, AND NORTH WEST SLOPES FROM WEDNESDAY

A trough lying over northeast of New South Wales is bringing moderate to locally heavy rain to the Flood Watch area. Localised river level rises and flash flooding are likely within the areas of heaviest rainfall.
Minor flooding is possible for the Richmond, Wilsons, Clarence, Bellinger, and Upper Macintyre Rivers.
A Flood Watch is also current for Queensland including the Border Rivers.
Catchments in the Flood Watch area are wet and tides are forecast to be close to or slightly higher than the highest astronomical tide of the year along the coast of the Northern Rivers and Mid North Coast.
This weather system has the potential to cause minor flooding in the Flood Watch area from Wednesday. Flood Classes (minor, moderate, major) are only defined for catchments where the Bureau provides a flood warning service.

Catchments likely to be affected include:
Wilsons River
Richmond River
Clarence River
Bellinger and Kalang Rivers
Upper Macintyre River
Gwydir River

Flood Warnings are current for the Orara,Gwydir, Namoi, Narran, Birrie, Bokhara, Culgoa, Warrego and Paroo Rivers.

This Flood Watch means that people living or working along rivers and streams must monitor the latest weather forecasts and warnings and be ready to move to higher ground should flooding develop.
Flood Warnings will be issued if Minor Flood Level is expected to be exceeded at key sites along the main rivers for which the Bureau of Meteorology provides a flood warning service.
Severe Weather Warnings will be issued or updated if very heavy rain is forecast or observed.

Minor Flood Warning For The Gwydir River

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT GRAVESEND, PALLAMALLAWA, AND YARRAMAN FROM WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON
Moderate to heavy rainfall since Tuesday evening has the potential to cause minor flooding at Gravesend, Pallamallawa, and Yarraman from Wednesday afternoon.
Further moderate to heavy rainfall is forecast across the catchment for the remainder of Wednesday.

Gwydir River downstream of Copeton Dam:
Minor flooding may occur along the Gwydir River downstream of Copeton Dam.
The Gwydir River at Gravesend Road Bridge is currently at 2.89 metres and rising, below the minor flood level (6.10 metres).
The Gwydir River at Gravesend Road Bridge may reach the minor flood level (6.10 m) overnight Wednesday into Thursday.

The Gwydir River at Pallamallawa is currently at 2.16 metres and rising, below the minor flood level (6.00 metres).
The Gwydir River at Pallamallawa may reach the minor flood level (6.00 m) Wednesday evening. Further rises are possible with forecast rainfall.

The Gwydir River at Yarraman Bridge is currently at 1.98 metres and rising, below the minor flood level (4.00 metres).
The Gwydir River at Yarraman Bridge may reach the minor flood level (4.00 m) late Wednesday afternoon.

Minor To Moderate Flood Warning For The Namoi River

MODERATE FLOODING CONTINUING AT WEE WAA AND BUGILBONE
MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT NARRABRI AND GOANGRA
Along the Namoi River, renewed river level rises are possible at Boggabri during Wednesday, but are likely to remain below the minor flood level. At Narrabri, renewed rises are possible and minor flooding may occur from overnight Wednesday.
Moderate flooding is occurring at Wee Waa and Bugilbone and is likely to continue into Thursday, with renewed rises possible as upstream flows arrive. Minor flooding is possible at Goangra from Thursday, with further rises possible.
In the next few days, multiple flood peaks are expected to move along the Namoi River, with prolonged flooding possible at some locations.

Namoi River:
Moderate flooding is occurring at Wee Waa and Bugilbone. Minor flooding is possible at Narrabri and Goangra.
The Namoi River at Boggabri is currently at 5.84 metres and falling, below the minor flood level.
Small renewed river level rises are possible but the Namoi River at Boggabri is likely to remain below the minor flood level (7.00 m).

The Narrabri Creek at Narrabri is currently at 4.28 metres and steady, below the minor flood level.
Renewed rises are possible as upstream flows arrive and Narrabri may reach the minor flood level (4.90 m) overnight Wednesday into Thursday.

The Namoi River at Wee Waa (Glencoe) is currently at 6.49 metres and steady, above the moderate flood level (6.40 m).
The Namoi River at Wee Waa (Glencoe) may reach around 6.60 metres Wednesday afternoon, with moderate flooding. The river level is likely to remain above the moderate flood level (6.40 m) overnight Wednesday into Thursday.

The Namoi River at Bugilbone is currently at 6.05 metres and steady, above the moderate flood level.
The Namoi River at Bugilbone may reach around 6.40 metres overnight Wednesday into Thursday, with moderate flooding.

The Namoi River at Goangra is currently at 4.89 metres and rising, below the minor flood level (5.50 m).
The Namoi River at Goangra may reach the minor flood level (5.50 m) during Thursday. Further rises are possible.
