This Flood Watch provides early advice of possible flooding within the
Initial Flood Watch for catchments in the Gulf Country

Flood Watch Number: 1
River level rises above the minor flood level are possible from Friday.
Moderate to heavy isolated falls are possible across the Flood Watch area
during Friday and Saturday, easing from Sunday.
Rainfall totals of 30-70 mm have been recorded across the Flood Watch area in
the 24 hours to 9:00 am Friday with an isolated total of 128 mm recorded in the
Lower Flinders catchment. Isolated storms have continued in the area during
Rivers level rises have been observed in the Upper Flinders and Norman Rivers
in response to recent rainfall.
Storms are expected to continue across the Flood Watch area during Friday and
Saturday with daily rainfall totals of 50-100 mm possible. Forecast rainfall is
expected to ease during Sunday.
River level rises above the minor flood level are possible.
