Moderate Flood Warning for Charleys Creek

Flood Warning Number: 7
Moderate flood levels possible at Chinchilla on Monday evening.
50-100 mm of rainfall was recorded across the Charleys Creek catchment on
Friday and Saturday. There has been no significant rainfall since Saturday
evening and no further significant rainfall is forecast during the week.
Minor to moderate flooding is occurring along Charleys Creek. Seven Oaks and
Burncluith Bridge continue to fall, although renewed rises are expected after
The Charleys Creek at Chinchilla is currently at 4.47 metres and rising.
Charleys Creek at Chinchilla may exceed the moderate flood level (5.00 m)
Monday evening. The first flood peak is currently downstream of Burncluith
Bridge and as a result Chinchilla is expected to continue rising through during
