Minor Flood Warning for the Dawson River

Flood Warning Number: 7
Minor flood levels are expected on the Dawson River at Baralaba on Monday.
River level rises are occurring on the Dawson River downstream of Taroom to
No significant rainfall has been recorded in the Dawson catchment in the 24
hours to 9:00 am Monday. Further showers and storms are possible during the
next few days.
Dawson River to Theodore:
Minor to moderate flood levels are continuing on the upper Dawson River.
The Dawson River at Taroom is currently at 5.81 metres and at a peak. River
levels at Taroom will remain above the minor flood level (4.50 m) during
Monday. The river level is expected to fall below the minor flood level (4.50
m) during Tuesday.
The Dawson River at Theodore may exceed the minor flood level (8.00 m)
overnight Tuesday into Wednesday.
Dawson River downstream of Theodore:
Minor flooding will occur along the Dawson River downstream of Theodore.
There are no observations at Baralaba, however it is expected that the water
level is currently just below the minor flood level (4.0 metres) and rising.
The Dawson River at Baralaba will exceed the minor flood level (4.00 m) Monday
afternoon. The river level will remain above the minor flood level (4.00 m)
