Final Flood Warning For The Hawkesbury River

MINOR FLOODING NO LONGER EXPECTED AT NORTH RICHMOND
Rainfall totals of up to 90 mm have been observed in the Hawkesbury Nepean catchment since 9:00 am Friday. No significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days.

Hawkesbury and Lower Nepean River:
Minor flooding is no longer expected along the Hawkesbury River.
The Hawkesbury River at North Richmond (WPS) peaked at 3.36 metres below the minor flood level (3.80 m) around 05:00 am Monday 13 May. The river level is currently at 3.28 metres and steady.

Flood Safety Advice:
In life threatening emergencies, call 000 (triple zero) immediately. If you require rescue, assistance to evacuate or other emergency help, ring NSW SES on 132 500.
* Avoid drowning. Stay out of rising water, seek refuge in the highest available place.
* Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood.
* Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains.
* Never drive, ride or walk through flood water. Flood water can be deceptive and dangerous.}
