Final Flood Warning For The Tully River

FLOODING NO LONGER OCCURRING AT EURAMO
Rain has eased across the Tully River catchment with totals up to 13 mm being recorded since 9:00 am Tuesday. The river level at Euramo fell below the minor flood level (6.00 metres) Tuesday night.
Further showers are possible for the next few days. However these showers are not expected to affect river levels significantly.

Tully River:
No further flooding is expected along the Tully River.
The Tully River at Euramo peaked at 6.05 metres around 06:45 pm Tuesday and is currently at 5.70 metres and falling, below the minor flood level.

Flooding in North Queensland catchments during December 2023 damaged high priority river gauges that support the Bureau of Meteorology to provide high accuracy flood forecasts. While river gauges are being repaired, the Bureau will continue to issue flood watches and warnings for these catchments using the best available data.

Minor Flood Warning For The Daintree River

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT DAINTREE VILLAGE
Rain has eased across the Daintree River catchment with totals up to 55 mm being recorded since 9:00 am Tuesday. Minor flooding is easing along the Daintree River at Daintree Village where the river level peaked around 7.80 metres Tuesday afternoon above the moderate flood level (6.00 metres).
River levels have eased across the Mossman River catchment.
Further showers are possible for the next few days. However these showers are not expected to affect river levels significantly. The situation is being monitored closely and warnings will be updated as required.

Daintree River:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Daintree River.
The Daintree River at Daintree Village peaked at 7.80 metres around 05:00 pm Tuesday with moderate flooding and is currently at 5.40 metres and falling with minor flooding.
The Daintree River at Daintree Village may fall below the minor flood level (4.00 metres) Wednesday afternoon.

Mossman River:

Final Flood Warning For The Mulgrave And Russell Rivers

FLOODING IS NO LONGER OCCURRING AT PEETS BRIDGE AND GORDONVALE
Heavy rainfall overnight Monday in the Mulgrave and Russell catchments resulted in strong stream level rises and minor flooding on Tuesday morning. River levels are generally easing on Tuesday afternoon.
There remains a chance of further showers for the remainder of this week. The situation will continue to be closely monitored and warnings will recommence as required.

Mulgrave River:
River levels are easing along the Mulgrave River on Tuesday afternoon.
The Mulgrave River at Peets Bridge is currently at 4.05 metres and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Mulgrave River at Peets Bridge is expected to remain below the minor flood level (5.00 m) during the remainder of Tuesday.

The Mulgrave River at Gordonvale is currently at 10.90 metres and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Mulgrave River at Gordonvale is expected to remain below the minor flood level (12.00 m) during the remainder of Tuesday.

Russell River:
Stream levels across the Russell River catchment are peaking below minor or are already easing on Tuesday afternoon.
