Minor Flood Warning For The Narran River

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT ANGLEDOOL DURING SATURDAY, MAY PEAK EARLY NEXT WEEK
Floodwaters from the Culgoa and Balonne Rivers in Queensland are moving into New South Wales. Minor flooding is occurring along the Narran River at Angledool during Saturday and may peak early next week.
No significant rainfall has been observed since last Thursday and no significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days.

Narran River:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Narran River.
The Narran River at New Angledool No 2 is currently at 3.31 metres and steady, just above the minor flood level.
The Narran River at New Angledool No 2 is expected to remain above the minor flood level (3.30 m) well into next week. The river level may peak near 3.40 metres early next week, with minor flooding.

Flood Safety Advice:
In life threatening emergencies, call 000 (triple zero) immediately. If you require rescue, assistance to evacuate or other emergency help, ring NSW SES on 132 500.
* Avoid drowning. Stay out of rising water, seek refuge in the highest available place.
* Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood.
* Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains.
* Never drive, ride or walk through flood water. Flood water can be deceptive and dangerous.}

Minor To Moderate Flood Warning For The Barwon River

MODERATE FLOODING OCCURRING AT MUNGINDI
MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT MOGIL MOGIL FROM SUNDAY
Moderate flooding is occurring along the Barwon River at Mungindi as floodwaters arrive from the Weir River (QLD) and Macintyre River.
The flood peak along the Weir River is around Mascot where moderate flooding is occurring. This peak, combined with floodwaters from the Macintyre River, may cause prolonged moderate flooding at Mungindi.
Further downstream, minor flooding is possible at Mogil Mogil around Sunday.
A minor flood warning is current for the Weir River (QLD).

Barwon River Mungindi to Collarenebri:
Moderate flooding is occurring along the Barwon River at Mungindi and Minor flooding is possible at Mogil Mogil.
The Barwon River at Mungindi is currently at 6.92 metres and rising slowly, above the moderate flood level (6.70 m).
The Barwon River at Mungindi may peak near 7.00 metres during Sunday, with moderate flooding.

The Barwon River at Mogil Mogil is currently at 7.08 metres and rising, below the minor flood level (7.50 m).
The Barwon River at Mogil Mogil may reach the minor flood level during Sunday.

MODERATE FLOODING LIKELY AT BARRINGUN AND FORDS BRIDGE BYWASH
MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT ENNGONIA
Along the Warrego River, upstream floodwaters from Queensland are arriving in New South Wales. A moderate flood warning is current for the Warrego River at Rocky in Queensland.
Moderate flooding is likely at Barringun during Saturday, with a moderate flood peak possible during Sunday.
Further downstream, minor flooding may develop at Enngonia during Saturday, and moderate flooding is likely at Fords Bridge Bywash late next week.

Warrego River (NSW):
Moderate flooding is likely along the Warrego River (NSW) at Barringun and Fords Bridge Bywash. Minor flooding is possible at Enngonia.

The Warrego River at Barringun No. 2 gauge is currently at 3.72 metres and rising, above the minor flood level (2.80 m).
The Warrego River at Barringun No. 2 is likely to exceed the moderate flood level (3.80 m) during Saturday. The river level may peak near 4.20 metres during Sunday, with moderate flooding.

No observations are currently available for Enngonia. It is estimated that the river level is currently below the minor flood level (2.00 m) and rising.
The Warrego River at Enngonia may exceed the minor flood level (2.00 m) during Saturday. The river level may reach around 2.40 metres mid next week, with minor flooding.

The Warrego River at Fords Bridge Bywash is currently at 1.78 metres and rising, above the minor flood level (1.70 m).
The Warrego River at Fords Bridge Bywash is likely to exceed the moderate flood level (2.30 m) late next week. Further rises are possible as flood waters continue to arrive from upstream.
